Announcements & Submissions

Two routes into this publication: pitch it as a story, or place it as a labeled announcement. Here is exactly how each works.

Latest announcements

Company announcements republished from Distribute Press Releases, each under its label, with the original as the canonical source.

Also from Press Release For Business

Two different things

Companies approach us for two distinct reasons, and confusing them wastes everybody's time, so we separate them clearly.

If you want coverage Send it to the desk through the news tips page. We decide whether it is a story, we write it in our words, and it carries our byline. Free, and not guaranteed.
If you want your announcement published as written That is announcement placement, described below. It is a paid service, it carries a permanent label, and it is published in your words rather than ours.

Announcement placement

We publish company announcements on a dedicated section of this site. Each one is:

  • Published at a permanent, canonical URL on this domain
  • Labeled as an announcement, clearly, at the top of the page — permanently
  • Marked up with structured data identifying the issuing organization, the publication date and the subjects the document concerns
  • Attributed to you as the source, not to our newsroom

What we do to it

We structure it for retrieval. That means the opening passage is rewritten to be accurate and complete on its own, unverifiable adjectives are removed or converted into checkable facts, dates and geography are made explicit, and the whole thing is marked up so that a machine reading it knows what it is looking at.

The reasoning behind that process is set out at length in our analysis piece, The press release didn’t die.

What we will not do

  • Remove the announcement label, at any price
  • Publish claims we believe to be false
  • Sell a following link inside an announcement, or represent announcement placement as a link-building service
  • Publish announcements in categories we do not accept (below)
On links, precisely Links inside paid announcements carry the attributes search engines expect for sponsored content. Anyone offering you announcement distribution on the promise of ranking improvement through links is selling a tactic that stopped working over a decade ago.

What we accept

Product launches, funding, expansions, leadership changes, partnerships, research findings, event announcements and operational news from businesses in the sectors we cover.

What we decline

  • Investment offers, token sales and anything soliciting funds from the public
  • Health claims about treatments or outcomes
  • Adult content, gambling and regulated substances
  • Anything defamatory, or making claims about a named third party we cannot verify
  • Political campaign material
  • Announcements whose actual purpose is a link

We reserve the right to decline anything, and we refund rather than publish something we have come to doubt.

How to submit

Use the form alongside. Tell us what the announcement is and when it is dated. We will come back with whether we can take it, what it costs, and anything in the draft that will need to change before publication.
