Ethics & AI policy

Action Global News describes itself as an AI-forward news organization. This is what that means in practice, and the rules that keep it honest.

How we use AI tools

We use AI tools in our workflow for research assistance, drafting, summarization, translation of public documents, data handling and building charts. We do not treat AI output as a source. Every factual claim that appears in our reporting is checked against a primary source or a named, reputable secondary source, and those sources are listed at the end of each article.

  • AI tools never invent quotes. Quotations come from on-the-record interviews or published statements and are attributed.
  • Statistics are taken from the publishing organization’s own release or a reputable report of it, and linked.
  • Images and illustrations that are generated or drawn are labeled as illustrations, never presented as photographs of real events.
  • Our reader assistant, Newsie, is a navigation helper that points to pages on this site. It does not report news.

Commercial interests

The publisher of Action Global News operates marketing businesses, and some companies we write about share ownership with the publisher or are clients of its marketing agency. When an article features one of those companies, it is labeled “From our network” at the top, and the relationship is stated plainly. Paid placements, including articles about clients of the publisher’s agency, are labeled “Sponsored,” and their links carry sponsored attributes.

Advertising and editorial

Advertisers do not buy coverage, favorable treatment, advance notice of stories or the removal of labels. Links in paid placements carry sponsored-content attributes.

Sources and fairness

We name sources wherever possible, explain why when we cannot, and give companies and people we write critically about a chance to respond.
